Q: Newer streets are marked with a lane for parking, then a bike lane and then a traffic lane. Is it legal for me to ride my mo-ped in the bike lane, or must I stay in the traffic lane? If it is legal, can I also ride my mo-ped on all of the nice trails made for walking, running, biking and horseback riding? If not, why not? My mo-ped goes slower than most bikes and horses.

A: Sgt. Pat DeWall of the Appleton Police Department directed me to two state laws to clarify this issue.
