A veteran water utility manager from Waukesha has been hired as general manager of the Green Bay water system.
Nancy Quirk, who will start Jan. 17, will succeed Bill Nabak, who is retiring after 30 years.
Quirk, 54, a Madison native, was most recently technical services manager of the Waukesha Water Utility, where she worked for nine years. Before that, she was a civil engineer at the Madison Water Utility.
The Green Bay Water Utility, based at 631 S. Adams St., provides purified drinking water to customers throughout Green Bay, Ashwaubenon, Hobart and Scott.
