Opinions vary on Packers among national pundits

Nov. 20, 2012

How good are the Packers? There seems to be a difference of opinion by the national media pundits that produce weekly NFL power rankings.

In the latest ProFootballTalk.com rankings, the Packers tumbled from No. 5 to No. 7 despite winning their fifth straight game on Sunday and improving to 7-3 overall.

But in two other sets of rankings, the Packers moved up in the so-called NFL polls. ESPN.com elevated the Packers from No. 6 to No. 4 this week, while CBSsports.com moved the Packers from No. 5 to No. 4.

According to the latest NFL.com rankings, the Packers’ position remained unchanged from last week at No. 4.

The Packers’ upcoming opponent – the New York Giants -- showed up anywhere between No. 8 and No. 11 in the rankings we surveyed.
