Convicted Planned Parenthood arsonist found competent in car-theft case

A man convicted in federal court of torching Planned Parenthood in Grand Chute has been found mentally competent to proceed in a related Outagamie County car-theft case.

Francis Grady, 50, of Grand Chute was awaiting sentencing in U.S. District Court in Green Bay on the arson case, but the hearing was put on hold when his mental competency was questioned. Federal Judge William Griesbach said Grady apparently had not been taking his medication and ordered the case be put on hold until a psychological evaluation could be performed.
