After collecting almost $10,000 in less than a week, Press-Gazette Media’s Stock the Shelves campaign has received a total of more than $36,000 in donations.

The annual campaign, which began Oct. 14 and ends Dec. 2, seeks to raise $100,000 to benefit 11 area food pantries or programs. J.J. Keller Foundation, Express Convenience Centers and credit unions across Brown County together will match up to $35,000 raised.

Of the $9,918 raised from Nov. 16-20, donations from individuals accounted for $9,243.

Pantries across the region report an increased need of food for families in need.
