RISE OF THE GUARDIANS

Rating: PG for thematic elements and some mildly scary action

What it's about: The "Guardians of Childhood," aka Santa, The Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc., struggle to keep the bogeyman from ruining childhood.

The kid attractor factor: It's animated and it has Santa, elves and a holiday theme (sort of).

Lessons learned: Belief in magic and the supernatural is an important part of childhood.

Violence: Stylized, animated, some chilling effects.

Language: A Dreamworks movie that is Disney clean.

Sex: None.

Drugs: None.

Parents' advisory: Kids who read 'The Guardians of Childhood' book may get more out of this than kids, and adults, who didn't. Suitable for all ages.
