Receiver Greg Jennings took part in today's padded practice, which is a sign he's progressing quickly in his recovery from abdominal surgery and at least leaves open the possibility he could play this week against the New York Giants.
Jennings had surgery three weeks ago today, and returned to practice Wednesday but only took part in individual and small groups, and left early to do conditioning work. Today, he was in pads like the rest of his teammates and took part in all drills for the portion of practice that was open to reporters. Coach Mike McCarthy likely will reveal whether Jennings took part in any team drills, after practice was closed.
Three players didn't practice today, and all appear to have little or no chance of playing this week: cornerback Charles Woodson (collarbone), outside linebacker Clay Matthews (hamstring) and cornerback Sam Shields (ankle).
Outside linebacker Vic So'oto returned to practice today after he missed Wednesday because of an illness.
