? James Weber, a former Marshfield Clinic research scientist who helped revolutionize the study of human genetics, has been named the 15th recipient of the Clinic's Heritage Award.

Weber, 60, a longtime scientist at Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation and current president of Prevention Genetics, has played a pivotal role in genetics research and elevated the reputation of the Clinic's genetics program.

Weber founded and currently serves as CEO of Prevention Genetics in Marshfield, which provides a number of services such as clinical DNA testing, DNA banking and research.

Among his accomplishments at the Clinic, Weber was involved in The Human Genome Project, a multiyear, multinational study that mapped the human genome. Weber, who served as director of The Center for Human Genetics at Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation, spent nearly 10 years working on the project with his team.

Marshfield Clinic's Heritage Foundation, established in 1997, honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the community in government, civic leadership, education, medicine, law or business.

Manufacturing

? Jon Krueger has been promoted to senior vice president, human resources and administrative services at Greenheck in Schofield.

Krueger will oversee human resources, corporate services/facilities, corporate safety, as well as technical training. Krueger joined Greenheck in 1988.

Greenheck Fan is the industry's largest manufacturer of commercial, institutional and industrial air movement and control equipment with six manufacturing locations and six distribution locations across the country and around the world.

? Kelly Thyne has been promoted to Senior Project sales coordinator at Schuette Metals. Thyne will be responsible for managing her department and staff, large customer orders and schedules through Electronic Data Interchange, working with customers to schedule planning activities, and coordinating expedites. She also will be in charge of reviewing and tracking sales dollars for each customer to assist in capacity planning activities. Thyne will act as a liaison and coordinator among quality, engineering, production and other applicable areas.
