Mackenzie Buss is an exemplary student at Shawano Community High School. She has maintained a 3.922 grade point average and ranks 4 out of 214 in her class. Mackenzie has participated in student council, SADD and National Honors Society. However, Mackenzie’s main passion is swimming. She is so accomplished in swimming that she has been an Olympic Trial qualifier from the age of 13 to the present, and a state winner in the 100 back stroke freshmen and junior year, breaking the state record time in her junior year. Mackenzie was also the MVP during 9th and 11th, All American 10th and 11th, 1st team All-Conference 9th, 10, and 11th grade, and Green Bay Gazette swimmer of 2011.Besides being an outstanding academic achiever and athlete, Mackenzie has found the time to volunteer for the NIC Foundation, Special Olympics, Relay for Life, and the local swim club and triathlon. Mackenzie has earned an impressive amount of letters and awards for her many accomplishments. Wherever Mackenzie decides to pursue her post-secondary education, she will continue to be a great leader in academics, athletics, and community.
