Sunday night wasn't the first time the Green Bay Packers struggled in a big game. It happens every season.

It happened on Oct. 29, 1972, as the Packers were pursuing the NFC Central Division title. They lost to the Minnesota Vikings 27-13 on a chilly day at Lambeau Field.

It was the second consecutive week that the Packers had struggled. They'd managed only one touchdown in two games, and lost both games to fall to 4-3. The week before, they lost 10-9 to the Atlanta Falcons, getting only three Chester Marcol field goals. ...
