Nicolet Bankshares' acquisition of Mid-Wisconsin Financial Services will extend the Green Bay company's reach across northern Wisconsin and diversify its loan portfolio.

Nicolet, headquartered in Green Bay, is the parent company of Nicolet National Bank. Mid-Wisconsin, headquartered in Medford, is the parent company of Mid-Wisconsin Bank. Nicolet is privately held. Mid-Wisconsin is publicly traded.

Nicolet announced Thursday it agreed to a share-for-share deal valued at $10.2 million. The deal values Nicolet at $16.50 per share and Mid-Wisconsin at $6.15 per share. ...
