Happy Holidays! Shopping, baking, holiday parties, card writing and traveling, this is a wonderful and busy time.
The Lowell Center has many opportunities to help make this delightful season a little more fun and your gift buying more manageable. After all, it is the most magical time of the year, and we want you to enjoy every bit of it!
Stocking Stuffers: The Lowell Center has a few items available that would be the perfect addition to that special someone's holiday stocking. May we suggest filling it with a "Pathways Through Life, Volume III" book, a microwave warming hot pad, floral arrangements or baby item for new additions to your family from our craft cabinet? How about a gift certificate for our 2013 trips? All would be welcomed additions to a stocking this season.
2013 Trips: The 2013 Trip Guide will be available in late December. But to tempt your interests how do these titles ring? Elvis: The Essence of the King, Cruising, Clydesdales & Cookies, and Packers Heritage. Call to have your name added to a list to be contacted when the Trip Guide is released.
Lowell Center Christmas Party: Join us at 1 p.m. Dec. 19 for an afternoon of food, fun and entertainment provided by Our Lady Queen of Heaven second grade at 1:30 p.m. Bring a gift valued up to $5 to participate in our exchange game, and we will also have other games with prizes, a door prize and snacks to share. The party is open to everyone ages 50 and older. Registration is required by Dec. 13, along with a $2 donation or bring a snack to share.
Wii Bowling League: We have an opening for our Winter '13 Wii Bowling League. Looking for a team of two, or two individuals. Games are played on Monday afternoons between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. from Jan. 14 to March 25. Cost is $5 per player. Stop by the office to sign up. No experience necessary, just lots of fun.
The Lowell Center and Centralia Center will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 in observance of the Christmas holiday. The Lowell Center and Centralia Center also will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 in observance of the new year.
We wish all of you a joyous holiday filled with friends and family, and a new year full of happiness, good health, hope and the recollection of the real reason for the season.
