Dec. 3, 1962 - Park developer honored: A new marker designating Colburn Park as a memorial to the late Enos Colburn, member and president of the Green Bay Board of Park Commissioners from 1938 to 1945, has been unveiled. The marker is a joint gift to the city from Mr. Colburn's son and two daughters, the Mmes. John Wilterding of Neenah, and Mark Peacock of Lake Forest, Ill., and Ralph Colburn, Decatur, Ill. Mr. Colburn was a staunch supporter of an extensive park program and it was during his term of office that the present full-time recreation program was established.

Attending the formal unveiling at the entrance to the park were Jim Rathburn, Tim Blaney, Mrs. Marie Vervoren, Miss Andrae Verheyden, John Wilterding, Rodney Crevcoure, Mrs. Wilterding and Vernon Krieser, director of the park and Recreation Dept. All but the Wildterdings are members of the present Park Board.
