Appeals judge upholds plea agreement in Outagamie case

A former Fox Valley man who was represented by 10 attorneys through a series of cases in 2009 will not be allowed to back out of a plea agreement reached while he was representing himself.

Wisconsin District 3 Court of Appeals Judge Michael Hoover upheld the convictions imposed in Outagamie County cases against Dennis C. Strong Jr.

In a decision last Friday, Hoover determined Strong knowledgeably and voluntarily entered guilty pleas to 11 charges. Strong, 35, argued he was denied his right to counsel. He also declared innocence in his appeal. ...
