This Calumet County village has not had a local grocery store for about eight years, since TJ's Foods closed at State 114 and Castle Drive.

That could change in September if village incentives and a local bank's willingness to loan money aid the Wrightstown-based Dick's Family Foods to put a $1 million-plus store here.

Dick's is looking to build the branch store from scratch on Knight Drive, behind the former TJ's building that now houses Legacy Communications. The area is an unused portion Wanick Park that will be rezoned for commercial use. ...
