Demand for rugged work boots by fashion-conscious youths in Europe and Asia is keeping central Wisconsin bootmakers at Weinbrenner Shoe Co. on overtime in December.

More than 100 employees at the Weinbrenner plant in Marshfield will work up to six hours of overtime on Saturdays in December to keep up with a 30 percent increase in demand for work boots compared to last year, Weinbrenner President Pat Miner said Monday. This past weekend was the first Saturday the employees worked.
