Mead hosts 'Spooktacular' along with a food drive

Another great family fun "Spooktacular" event was held Oct. 20. This community event is sponsored by the Friends of the Mead/McMillan and Mead staff members to increase public awareness about the Mead Wildlife Area and to help the local food pantries.

The 2012 Spooktacular planning committee worked very hard to make this year's event as successful as last year. From the new trick-or-treat trail with a lightning bug, turtle, rabbit, bee, bat, owl and one boney salesman to pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, prize bag decorating, stargazing and games galore. Much fun was had by all.
