Rodgers No. 1 in NFL in passer rating

Dec. 4, 2012

The Packers have given up the second-most sacks in the NFL this season, trailing only the Arizona Cardinals.

But while Packers quarerback Aaron Rodgers is taking a beating to the tune of 39 sacks, the statistics would indicate he isn't getting rattled.

Rodgers continues to lead the league in passer rating. Here are the NFL quarterbacks with triple-digit passer ratings this season:

105.0 -- Aaron Rodgers, Packers
104.6 -- Peyton Manning, Broncos
104.4 -- Robert Griffin III, Redskins
104.1 -- Alex Smith, 49ers
102.6 -- Tom Brady, Patriots
100.0 -- Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers

Rodgers has completed 279 of 414 passes for 3,214 yards, 29 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.

If he keeps up that pace, Rodgers will tie Brett Favre’s all-time Packers record for completions (372) in a season.

At his current pace, Rodgers would also post the second-highest single-season passer rating in team history (tied with Bart Starr in 1966) and the second-best completion percentage (67.4) in franchise annals.

Rodgers owns both of those team records set in 2011 with a 122.5 passer rating and 68.33% completion percentage.

Rodgers is projected to finish with 39 touchdown passes, second highest in his career, and 11 interceptions.

Besides ranking first in passer rating, Rodgers is tied for second in the NFL in touchdown passes and fourth in completion percentage.
