Adams County Running/Walking Club

This club is dedicated to encouraging and supporting the interests of recreational runners and walkers. It meets 8 a.m. Saturdays, Friendship Village Park, Friendship. Join us as we encourage and support one another to reach our fitness goals (and have a lot of fun along the way), whether you are just starting a walking or running program, or training for your first 5K race. Central Wisconsin Speed Skating

This club is for novice or advanced skaters. It meets from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays and Wednesday for practice at Greenheck Field House, 6400 Alderson St., Weston. New members are welcome anytime throughout the year. Marshfield basketball, volleyball, tennis and raquetball leagues

Stevens Point's Wheel 'n' Deal Square Dance Club and Happy Steppers Club

Get your heart pumping and tone your muscles all while having fun and blowing off your stress on the dance floor. Square dancing beginner dances are held with Bernie and Carolyn Coulthurst at the Park Ridge Family Restaurant, 5110 Main St., Stevens Point. It is inexpensive fun and action in a cooperative, brain active, highly social and mildly aerobic environment. Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Club

The Rib Lake Ski & Snowshoe Club is a volunteer organization of people who donate many hours of time to promote and maintain one of the finest cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trail systems in Wisconsin. The Timmís Hill National Trail starts at the Rusch Preserve on Highway C and is groomed for diagonal skiing, skate skiing and snowshoeing. The most popular section of the trail is the two-mile beginners ski loop, which begins and ends at the Rusch Preserve. River Cities Nordic Ski Club

The club maintains 7.1 kilometers of trails groomed for classical as well as skate skiing at Nepco Lake County Park. Family-oriented recreational and racing club supports the Central Wisconsin Nordic Ski Tea.

Wausau Nordic Ski Club

This club offers ski development programs, informal ski outings, racing and special events. The group formed in 1972 and is a mix of competitive racers and weekend social skiers with all age and experience levels included. Get involved in the sport skiing on trails at Nine Mile, Big Eau Pleine Park, Ringle, Sylvan Hills or Greenwood Hills. For more information, visit www.wausaunordic.com. Individual memberships cost $15 and $25 per family. Wausau Nordic Ski Club offers free adult cross country lessons on Tuesday nights in January.

Wednesday Night Women's Winter Volleyball

If you love volleyball, but you are not overly competitive, join a laid-back league of women who compete at Mountain Bay Elementary in Weston on Wednesday nights. The minimum age is 19. Seven teams will play from January to March. Individual or teams of volleyball players can call Barb Olbrantz for more information, 715-359-9315.
