Tom Pease is in concert Dec. 11 at the Menasha Public Library.
» From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Wisconsin Maritime Museum, 75 Maritime Drive, Manitowoc, is hosting a holiday open house that's full of activities and fun for everyone, including a visit from Santa Clause.
Santa arrives at the museum at 10:30 a.m. aboard the fish tug Susie Q with a load of fresh-cut trees donated by Drumm's Christmas Trees of rural Maribel. While waiting for Santa, the Washington Carolers from Washington Junior High School will entertain the crowd with a selection of traditional Christmas songs.
In addition, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the schooner Rouse Simmons, otherwise known as the Christmas Tree Ship, the museum is hosting two special concerts with Lee Murdock. Through maritime stories and ballads, Murdock weaves a tale of the Christmas Tree Ship and shares the hardworking life of sailors and fishermen on the Great Lakes. The concerts are made possible with a generous donation from the Shopko Foundation.
Admission today to the museum is free. Visit wisconsinmaritime.org or call 866-724-2356.
