College honors

? UW-Marinette art students received photography awards, including Kayler Bailey, Oconto, for "Train Bridge"; Jessica Ahrens, Peshtigo, for "Possibilities" and "Lakeside"; Sherin Manassra, Peshtigo for "Thoughts of Yellow"; Zach Pasdo, Peshtigo for "Untitled"; and Jessi Randall, Marinette, for "Depot."

? Tristan Donaldson, De Pere, will exhibit his sculpture, metalwork and digital photography at UW-La Crosse's Senior Exhibition.

? Adam Gaines, associate professor, music; Jennifer Ham, associate professor, humanistic studies; Christine Smith, assistant professor, human development were recently inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi national honor society at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Educator honors

? Area schools are among the winners of the 2012-2013 Innovative Educator Grants, sponsored by the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation: Franklin Middle School,
Green Bay West High School, Green Bay Southwest, Lombardi Middle School, De Pere High School, Wrightstown High School and Wausaukee School District. The program awards innovative teaching programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

Other honors

? Suamico Elementary School in the Howard-Suamico School District is among the five schools nominated for the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program, which recognizes overall academic excellence or progress in improving student achievement.
