Make turkey the state bird

I must say I agree with Mike Nichols. Wisconsin should consider the turkey as the state bird.

For the past couple years now, I have seen groups of turkeys in my backyard. Last summer I counted 60. They must have had a family reunion because, generally there are 20 in a group, sometimes 30.

My sister, who lives in Manitowoc, said she also has seen groups of at least 20 in her area. They are not here every day, or even every week, so it's anyone's guess how far they come and go. But they are fun to watch and my indoor kitty is totally fascinated with them.

So yes, I agree: Turkey for state bird.
