Deb Schneider drove to the site of Pulaski's destructive downtown fire many times this summer to move forward with recovery the best way she knew.

She sat in her car and watched demolition crews haul away the rubble.

Driving day after day past the fire-ravaged scene - including a bowling alley where she played as a child - was nearly as traumatic for Schneider as the fire itself. Seeing crews clear away the debris helped her get past the tragedy. ...
