The infant beginning of the PTA Craft Show was as low key as you could get.

The very first craft show, sponsored by the Spencer Jaycees, was held in the old village hall. The hall now houses the Spencer Kids Group. The number of vendors was minimal, filling the perimeter of the room with some tables down the center. Food was served from a small counter in one corner. The space rental was $8 and that included a table.

Eventually, the sale out grew the hall, and Spencer Schools was approached for permission to use their main gym and the cafeteria gym. ...
