It's looking a lot like Christmas in Waupun

From left: Jim Grant (on his own behalf and on behalf of the Waupun Garden Club); Greg Kast and Andy Kast (not pictured), and Eugene Brudnowski were a few of the many elves who were busy beautifying Waupun's 'open space' recently. The men selected, cut down and hauled Christmas trees to Waupun and placed them in the open space. Brudnowski and his family provided the trees at no cost to the city. See accompanying story for a list of other residents who were involved in the project.

If you've caught a glimpse of the "open space" area (located between C.Verhage Photo and C&J Rock Shop) on east Main Street lately, it is clear that Christmas is on its way! Our friendly elves have once again outdone themselves and made this area a sight to see!

We hope you take a moment to enjoy it and we would like to take a moment to thank this year's crew for their time and generosity.

Sincere appreciation goes out to:

? Jim Grant (on his own behalf and on behalf of the Waupun Garden Club), Greg Kast and Andy Kast for selecting, cutting down, hauling trees to Waupun, and placing them in the open space.

? Eugene Brudnowski and family for providing the trees at no cost to the City.

? The Public Works Department for putting posts in the open space.

? Steve Hopp & Jim Grant for putting the trees up and tying them in place.

? Randy Bentley of Waupun Utilities for assisting with electrical needs.

? Cassandra Verhage of C. Verhage Photography for donating the electricity to light the trees in the open space.

? Marcia Grant and the community service workers from the Burke Center for laying out the electrical cords and stringing lights on the trees.

Many people come together to make the open space look amazing for the holidays - thank you all!
