On Monday, Nov. 19, National Exchange Bank & Trust representative Karri Klemm presented coloring contest awards to three first graders and three kindergarteners at Pier Elementary School's morning assembly.
Kindergarten students colored a Piggy Bank; and the first grade class colored super heroes Super Saver and NEBAT Girl.
Kindergartener Diego Gomez from Mrs. Zinke's class won first place for his colorful piggy bank. Alex Demos and Matthew Janke were runners up in the Kindergarten coloring contest.
Greta Strelow from Mrs. Mitchell's first grade class won first place for her version of Super Saver and NEBAT Girl. First graders Aliyah Albrecht and Henry Tranel were also awarded for their outstanding coloring.
First place winners Gomez and Strelow were given a National Exchange Bank & Trust piggy bank and a roll of quarters to get their savings started. Runners up were presented with piggy banks as well, along with a roll of dimes to start filling their banks.
