Pioneer Credit Union to accept Brown Co. tax payment

Pioneer Credit Union offices in Brown County have agreed to accept property tax payments for the county.

Brown County Treasurer Kerry Blaney said 100,000 property tax bills have been mailed and should begin arriving within a week.

Property tax payments can be made at nine Pioneer Credit Union offices. Office locations are included with the tax bills. Credit union lobby hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Tax bills also can be paid at the Brown County treasurer's office in the Northern Building, 305 E. Walnut St. The office is open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

The deadline for the first installment of property taxes is Jan. 31.
