Pilgrim Congregational Church Names Pastor
Rev. Dr. Mark McAnlis has been hired to become the ninth senior pastor for Pilgrim Congregational Church, 991 Pilgrim Way. Dr. McAnlis and his wife Janet are moving to Green Bay from Costa Mesa, Calif.
He's earned a bachelor of arts in Biblical studies from Rockmont College in Denver, a masters degree in Pastoral Studies from International Graduate School of Theology in Honolulu and doctoral degree with an emphasis on church renewal from Fuller Seminary.
Dr. McAnlis began his ministry career in 1976 in Avalon on Catalina Island in Calif., at a member church of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches. He's also ministered as senior pastor in Malta, Mont., and Denver; served as Dean of Student Affairs for Rockmont College; and completed a five-year study in Patristics.
Dr. McAnlis and his wife Janet have three adult children and six grandchildren.
