Women arrested for beating man with hammer in Oshkosh

Police have arrested two women who held down a man and beat him with a hammer Thursday afternoon in Oshkosh, authorities said.

One of the women, a 38-year-old from Oshkosh, struck the man repeatedly with a hammer in the mouth, elbow and back while a second woman, age 57, held him in place in an upper level apartment in the 300 block of Otter Avenue, said Crime Prevention Officer Joe Nichols, of the Oshkosh Police Department.
