Walker's son used same-day voter registration for primary

Despite Gov. Scott Walker's opposition to same-day voter registration, he accompanied his college-age son to a Waukesha polling place to register and vote the same day as the GOP Senate primary in August.

Matt D. Walker registered to vote in Wauwatosa on Aug. 14, Wauwatosa City Clerk Carla Ledesma said Friday. Gov. Walker's spokeswoman said he was with his son at the time.

Spokeswoman Jocelyn Webster said the circumstance "pretty clearly highlights the point" that eliminating same-day registration "is not a priority for" Walker. ...
