Third-quarter summary: Packers 17, Lions 17

Dec. 9, 2012

Packers 17, Lions 17
Jason Hanson, 46-yard field goal, 8:57.
Keys: On third-and-seven, Matthew Stafford hit Calvin Johnson for a 19-yard gain across the middle, but in making the tackle safety Morgan Burnett was flagged for a personal foul making contact to the head of Johnson that gave the Lions the ball at the Green Bay 36.
Drive: 7 plays, 45 yards, 2:57.

Packers 17, Lions 14
Aaron Rodgers, 27-yard run (Crosby kick), 11:54.
Keys: The Packers opened the drive with four completions, but benefitted from a roughing the pass caller on Rodgers off a free play. Facing third-and-four from the Lions’ 27, the pocket collapses on Rogers, who avoided the sack and bootlegged right for both the team’s longest touchdown run and the longest of Rodgers’ career. The nearest Detroit defender, linebacker Justin Durant, was preoccupied with blocking tight end Jermichael Finley to open the doors for the Rodgers’ score.
Drive: 8 plays, 74 yards, 3:06.
