Today's winter storm is expected to bring central Wisconsin its first significant snowfall of the season - providing a late start to a time for which snow enthusiasts have been longing.

So far this winter, most of Wisconsin has experienced warmer than average temperatures, and well below average snowfall totals. Through Friday, central Wisconsin had averaged about an inch of snow, which fell Nov. 6 and quickly melted.

The National Weather Service station in Green Bay forecast calls for most of central Wisconsin to receive between 3 and 4 inches of snow today. ...
