Local church celebrates Victorian Christmas

Karen Halverson is pretty handy when it comes to putting together Victorian costumes for herself and her husband, Wes.

The Halversons are members of the Church of the Intercession, 1417 Church St., which on Saturday hosted its second annual Victorian Christmas. In addition to people dressed in costumes from the Victorian Era, which spanned the reign of Queen Victoria of England from 1837 to 1901, visitors were treated to live musical performances, a craft fair and an English tea shoppe, among other events.
