School officials say they're nearing a solution that would allow a boy suffering from a rare skin disease to return to the Kimberly Area School District after state law required them to drop his enrollment earlier this year.

Trisha Knuth, mother of 6-year-old Charlie Knuth, addressed Kimberly's Board of Education on Monday in support of her son's return to the district via the open enrollment process. The Knuths live in Darboy and within the Kaukauna School District, but have enrolled their children in Kimberly schools.
