School Board upholds decision for no closed session recordings

Closed meetings will not be recorded

The Stevens Point Area Public School Board on Monday did not rescind an October decision to no longer have a recording secretary in closed session meetings.

But the board will discuss keeping an audio record of any closed session minutes at its Jan. 14 meeting.

Monday's measure was defeated by a 5-4 vote, with board President Dwight Stevens, members Kim Shirek, Angel Faxon, Lisa Totten and John Zellmer going against while Christina Scott, Bob Larson, Jen Zach and Renae Sheibley were in favor. Monday's vote was the same as when the measure was passed on Oct. 29. ...
