» The Menasha Parks and Recreation Department again is sponsoring open gym at the Menasha Fieldhouse on Wednesdays. The open gym hours are 6:30-9:30 p.m. The cost is $1 per night, which is collected by the gym supervisor.

Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary in Green Bay offers ways to enjoy the winter weather. For more information, visit www.baybeachwildlife.com. The cost for each event is $3.75. Preregistration is required by calling 920-391-3671. A minimum of five people are needed to hold the event.
» There's nothing like enjoying the quiet woods on a bright winter day, especially if you are on snowshoes. The sanctuary is hosting snow shoe hikes at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and can provide snowshoes or you can bring your own. A minimum of six inches of snow is needed to hold the hike.
Jan. 16 and 22
» Bring your cross-country skis and appetite out to the sanctuary at noon to ski and explore the sanctuary's trails with a staff naturalist, then head back to the nature center for a warm bowl of soup.
» Grab your skis and take a turn on our trails on a winter night. The sanctuary has groomed ski trails that are great for beginner and advanced cross-country skiers. The group will meet at the trail at 6 p.m. starting near the nature center. A minimum of 10 people are needed to hold the program.
