UWGB update: The Phoenix has lost two straight and five of its last six after starting 2-0. It hasn't played since last Thursday's 74-68 loss at Tennessee Tech, which dropped UWGB to 0-4 in true road games this season. This is the last nonconference road game until the Feb. 22-23 BracketBuster game. It has four straight home games coming up, beginning Saturday against Southern Illinois and including the Dec. 19 game against Marquette. ... Freshman forward Nick Arenz returns to the site of his high school team's state championship last season. Arenz's Onalaska team won the WIAA Division 2 title at the Kohl Center last season. He's coming off his most extensive action of the season, scoring four points in 14 minutes against Tennessee Tech.

UW update: The Badgers may be without senior forward Mike Bruesewitz for the second straight game. He missed Saturday's 60-54 loss at Marquette because of a concussion he sustained in practice last Thursday. Bruesewitz has averaged 6.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game after returning from a preseason leg injury. ... Freshman Sam Dekker of Sheboygan made his first start in place of Bruesewitz. ... The Badgers have already played five teams that were in last year's NCAA tournament ... Under Ryan, the Badgers have the fourth-highest home winning percentage in the country (.914), including an 87-7 nonconference home record.
