U.S. Forest Service chief Tom Tidwell.
When I visit our national forests and grasslands, I am humbled not just by the beauty of our public lands but by the way people feel about them. In Wisconsin, people have long cherished the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, and rightly so.
As chief of the U.S. Forest Service, I have firsthand knowledge of the importance of our mission and the impact our work has on so many people in your community. We are honored to be the stewards of the Chequamegon-Nicolet and will continually strive to make the forest more resilient so it can provide a long list of multiple uses for generations to come.
