Funeral services for Rothschild Fire Department Chief Steven Fritz will be held Saturday.

Fritz passed away Monday in his home of a suspected heart attack at the age of 58. He had served as the Rothschild Fire Department Chief since 2007.

A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at the Patriot Center in Rothschild.

Funeral services will begin at the Patriot Center at 11 a.m. Saturday. Pastor Richard Block will officiate the ceremony and burial will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Representatives from local fire departments and departments across the state will likely attend Fritz's services Saturday, a fire department official said Thursday.

Memorials can be given to The Humane Society or the Rothschild Fire Department. Online condolences can be expressed at jjbfh.com
