Face it, Christmas time is not always as joyous and peaceful as TV ads would have you believe. Second City's Dysfunctional Holiday Revue aims to make light of some of the holiday moments we share.

Comedians will offer their take on family gatherings, improvised Christmas carols and other seasonal satire at The Grand.

Executive director Jim O'Connell said the show will offer a mix of set skits and "some unexpected" improvisational comedy.

Second City has performed other shows at The Grand. Tickets are selling quickly. Seats cost from $24 to $58 per ticket.

Up next at The Grand, Wausau Community Theatre will perform its annual seasonal favorite "A Christmas Carol" with shows at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Call 715-359-3972 or stop into the business office, 136 Summer St., Schofield, for tickets.

And, don't miss the one-time performance by African Children's Choir at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. For more information on shows or tickets, call 715-842-0988.
