Radio play brings new twist to classic movie 'It's a Wonderful Life'

Central Wisconsin Area Community Theater will bring "It's a Wonderful Life" to stage Dec. 21, but in a way that many people have never seen before.

The local theater group will present a one-night-only radio play version of the classic story, based on the 1946 movie starring Jimmy Stewart.

"It's like a staged reading, but it has sound effects," said director Scott Price. "The actors all sit on stage and when their time comes up, they stand by the microphone. You can see the actors change their voice for different characters; you can see us make the sound effects. The sound effects really sell it. ...
