Eighteen families in Marathon County received new beds Wednesday as part of Slumberland Furniture's annual bed giveaway.

Slumberland's "Making Homes for the Holidays" program provides beds to low-income families. ...

Families are identified by local organizations, such as Department of Social Services, Commission on Aging, public health departments and others and referred to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Community Services Marathon County Family Resource Center in Wausau.
