The De Pere Police Department has been receiving more and more complaints of computer or phone scams in the last few months. We have had numerous victims in our city being taken for tens of thousands of dollars.

One of the most common and frequent ones is the "Grandparent Scam." According to recent FBI reports, the "Grandparent Scam" has been around since 2008, but there has been a surge recently.
