Wednesday practice report: Lang, Saturday sit with seven others

Dec. 19, 2012

Packers starting offensive linemen T.J. Lang and Jeff Saturday were both absent from the portion of Wednesday's practice available to the media, along with seven others.

The other seven included wide receiver Jordy Nelson (hamstring), tight end Tom Crabtree (hamstring), running backs Alex Green and James Starks (knee), defensive linemen C.J. Wilson (knee) and Jerel Worthy and linebacker Erik Walden.

Both Walden and Worthy were visible at practice, but wearing sweats. Without Lang and Saturday, reserve linemen Greg Van Roten and Evan Dietrich-Smith took snaps at left guard and center, respectively.

Defensive back Charles Woodson, who has yet to be cleared for a return from his broken collarbone, was taking part in scout team exercises as he has the past few weeks.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy will speak to the media at approximately 1 p.m. with updates on all of individuals who were absent.
