Mega-farms are a drain on environment

If people would stop to think, I would propose they start worrying about the mega-farms around the countryside instead of the Oneida Seven Generations plant the Oneidas want to build to do some good by turning trash into energy.

If we are worried about water shortages, stop to think how much water it takes to keep a cow going. Just the water one cow drinks in one day is around 40 gallons. Then add in how much water it takes to break down the manure to take it in the field to infuse it into the underground system they use.

Why not have a law that the manure should at least be dried down, as some farms have done, when a herd reaches 500 cows, to use for energy on the farms

I am not against farms. I have drunk milk all my life. I think there is a better way to go about it to help our environment that my grandchildren will have to live in.
