Girls Basketball: Zastrow: No quit in this team

Algoma girls basketball head coach Mark Zastrow couldn't be prouder after the Wolves' statement victory over defending WIAA Division 3 state champion Kewaunee on Dec. 13.

Down by 13 points with four minutes left, Algoma staged a furious rally capped by Taylor Schmidt's buzzer-beating 3-point shot to pull out a memorable 49-46 victory on its home court.

"Our kids will never quit when things aren't going our way. I have never seen our team give up," Zastrow said. "I'm very comfortable as we go forward that our team understands and believes they can fight back from pretty much anything." ...
