Child care center's future uncertain

The owner of a child care center that abruptly closed its doors Dec. 14 said she hoped to find a way to continue serving families, even amid an investigation into the center's finances.

Dawn Paglini, owner of Wonderfully Made Child Development and Family Resource Center, said she was forced to close the business after a number of staff members resigned. The staff members and four board members at the center resigned after financial irregularities came to light, Paglini said. Staff members had not been paid for weeks, she said.
