It took until the 15th game of the season, but Evan Dietrich-Smith has finally overtaken veteran Jeff Saturday for the Packers' starting center job: http://pck.rs/VbFMBI
Saturday, who was signed during the offseason to replace departed free agent Scott Wells, took the news well and was gracious in wishing Dietrich-Smith well.
“We’re at two totally different points of our career,” Saturday said. “His is on the up ramp, mine is on the way out. This is football. It’s a business at the end of the day. I think (Dietrich-Smith) is going to do a great job and give us a good chance to win games.”
