Margaret O'Connor Govett said plenty of men have been coming into her store looking for that last-minute gift for their wives.

The owner of Girls in Pearls, a boutique at 1016 Main St. in Stevens Point, O'Connor Govett said she's even served as a model, trying on necklaces or earrings for customers.

"They want to get an idea of what it will look like on their wives and be sure they are getting something she will like, and of course we're ready to help," O'Connor Govett said. ...
