Girls basketball: De Pere tops Algoma in showdown of unbeatens

ALGOMA - Morgan Anderson, Kayla Dawson and Claire Emmerich had 13 points apiece to lead De Pere past Algoma 52-46 in a battle of unbeatens in nonconference girls basketball on Saturday.

The Wolves (6-1) took a three-point lead in the third quarter, but the Redbirds (7-0) hit their free throws down the stretch to rally and pull away late in the fourth quarter.

Taylor Schmidt had 13 points and Kennedy Blahnik added 10 for Algoma. ...
